Join us this September for the third event in our ongoing series, Building Economic Partnerships with First Nations. We'll be exploring how to establish, nurture and grow quality partnerships between builders and First Nations to best address the pressing current and future housing needs.

Anne McMullin will moderate the panel as we acknowledge our shared past, reflect on recent progress and build a collective vision for what comes next on our path of moving forward together.

David Negrin, Chief Executive Officer, MST Development Corporation
Over the past 30 years, Mr. Negrin has established himself as a leader in the Development and Construction Industry throughout Canada. He has focused on the redevelopment of brownfield sites throughout the greater Vancouver region and has developed strong working relationships with First Nations throughout British Columbia. As a long-time Director and former President of the Urban Design Institute (UDI), David's expertise and mentorship is highly sought after both regionally and internationally. From 2008-2016, David served as the President of Aquilini Development and Construction Inc. During this time, he established partnerships with Tsleil-Waututh Nation and Tsawwassen First Nation culminating in over 1 Million SF of development. He also oversaw the construction and sale of over 1 Million SF in Downtown Vancouver. Prior to Aquilini, David oversaw over 8 million SF from inception to completion as Senior Vice President of Concord Pacific Group Inc., one of the largest residential developers of Master Planned Communities in North America. 

 

Mindy Wight, Interim Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Nch'ḵay̓ Development Corporation
Mindy Wight is Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Nch'ḵay̓ Development Corporation. A member of the Squamish Nation, Mindy is a demonstrated leader in advancing economic growth for Indigenous economies. With over 15 years of experience in the areas of financial accounting, taxation, and business, Mindy was previously a partner and the National Leader of Indigenous Tax Services for MNP LLP.  Mindy is a frequent speaker and presenter across the country and also serves as a Board Director for Crescent Point Energy Corp.
