We are excited to welcome City of Surrey’s Mayor Brenda Locke for her inaugural address with UDI.

Through an intimate fireside conversation, Mayor Locke will share her vision for the future of Surrey and her commitment to addressing the concerns of public transit options and affordable housing for the community.

Please join us from the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Salish Peoples, including the q̓ic̓əy̓ (Katzie), q̓ʷɑ:n̓ƛ̓ən̓ (Kwantlen), and Semiahma (Semiahmoo) land-based nations.

About our Speaker: Mayor Brenda Locke, City of Surrey
With the promise to restore ethics, transparency and enhance public safety by hiring more firefighters and maintaining a viable police service in Surrey, Brenda Locke was elected as Mayor of BC's second largest city on October 15, 2022.

A resident of Surrey for more than 4 decades, Mayor Locke's record of public service has been extensive. She has served as a City Councillor, MLA and Minister of State for Mental Health & Addictions. Her 25 years of experience as an Executive Director of non-profit organizations has also been integral to advancing numerous high-profile issues by building excellent working relationships with government, non-profits and the business community.
