By 2025, worldwide construction output will jump from $8 trillion last year to $15 trillion, driven primarily by development in Asia and North America. The resulting social, economic, and environmental challenges will affect the global construction industry at every level.
From July 24th to 26th, 2017, the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors is hosting its first-ever sustainable development conference titled Green Developments: The New Era.
The conference will be held at Vancouver's Westin Bayshore hotel, with up to one thousand delegates from thirteen countries expected. Our keynote speakers are David Suzuki, Sarika Cullis-Suzuki and Jon Montgomery. This high-profile event will bring together developers, lenders, consultants and contractors - along with government representatives, members of the media and the general public - to discuss the challenges and opportunities for the construction industry going forward.
This will be a jam-packed conference with more than 70 individual presentations, panel discussions, seminars and poster sessions covering a plethora of issues from clean energy to sustainable buildings. Don't miss it!
