Join us for a two-day dynamic interactive experience and learn all about "The Numbers Behind Housing Development".

If you're determined to have a future in real estate development, understanding the numbers is a must. Our instructors will draw from their own experiences and case studies to teach you the basics of proforma development, land and project valuation, sensitivity analysis and financing criteria. At the end of this course, you'll possess a good understanding of proformas from various perspectives: valuation expert, developer, and lenders. This is also an opportunity to expand your professional network.
 
Expertly facilitated by Michael von Hausen of MVH Urban Planning & Design, this course is limited to just 48 students and is for UDI members only.

Appraisals: Ryan WongBurgess Cawley Sullivan and Associates

Ryan Wong joined the firm in 1998 after graduating from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelors of Commerce (Urban Land Economics) degree. He has undertaken a wide array of assignments relating to commercial and residential properties, including office buildings, shopping centres/retail complexes, development sites, and multi-family residential. More recently, he has expanded his scope of services and has been retained as an expert witness in various rental arbitrations involving retail, restaurant and office space.

Banking: AJ Delisle, Royal Bank of Canada

A.J. Delisle is a Senior Commercial Account Manager at RBC Royal Bank. Specializing in the real estate industry, he is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients throughout British Columbia. Last year, A.J. completed $450-million in new transactions, including many high-profile projects in the Vancouver area. A.J. joined RBC in 2009, after beginning his banking career at a credit union. He holds a BComm from UNBC and an MBA from UBC. He is also a CPA, CMA and CFP. Follow @RBCAJDelisle.

Development: Jasmean ToorEdgar Developments

Jasmean Toor is the Vice President of Real Estate Finance at Edgar Development (www.edgardevelopment.com). She focuses on project financing, development management, and assists with acquisitions and partnerships. Prior to joining Edgar Development in 2011, Jasmean worked with a national commercial mortgage brokerage firm underwriting and funding construction and term mortgages for retail, office, industrial, multi-family and mixed use properties.Jasmean is an active member of the commercial real estate and development community, currently sitting on the Board of Directors for CREW Vancouver.

Development: Wayne VickersBosa Properties

Wayne Vickers has over ten years’ experience in the real estate industry, working in both the Finance and Development sectors. After graduating from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce, he worked in commercial real estate financing most recently as Assistant Vice President at HSBC. There, Wayne was responsible for a $1 billion portfolio that encompassed specialized acquisition, development and construction financing for projects within the mixed-use and commercial segments of the industry.
 
Today, Wayne is part of the development team at Bosa Properties, overseeing several of the company’s large scale developments. His role spans from the site acquisition phase and design to rezoning and permitting, all the way through construction and occupancy. His projects include a number of mixed-used high-rise and office towers, which represent over 700,000 square feet of new development.
