BIOS

KEVIN LAYDEN
Kevin is the President and CEO of Wesbild Holdings Ltd.  Prior to Wesbild, Kevin was the President of Future Shop when it was purchased from Inwest Investments (Wesbild’s parent company) by Best Buy Co. Inc. in 2001.  He remained in his post as President after the closing and was responsible for the integration with Best Buy. He led the team responsible for building out the Best Buy banner across Canada.  Kevin went on to become the COO of Best Buy International with responsibility of expanding Best Buy internationally before leaving to join Wesbild.  He was also the chairman of Retail Council of Canada and served on the board for 8 years. Kevin was on the Lower Mainland’s 2008 United Way Campaign Cabinet for the Retail and Services Group as well as the Co-Chair for the 2010 United Way Campaign Cabinet.  He serves on the Board of Directors of UDI, Pacific Region.

WARD MCALLISTER
Ward, a fifth generation Vancouverite, is President and Chief Executive Officer of Ledingham McAllister, one of BC’s most established and respected Developers. Through his 40 years of experience he has been involved in all facets of the development and construction industry. Ward establishes and manages the vision and objectives of the company, and has overall responsibility for acquisition, finance, design, approvals, construction and marketing of all Ledingham McAllister Projects. Ward is a Past President of U.D.I. Canada, Past President of U.D.I. (Pacific) for three terms and a Board member for over 20 years. He has received many awards and mentions for his contribution to the industry and the community. Ward is regarded as a chief spokesman for a wide variety of real estate matters as they pertain to the public and all levels of Government.

TODD YUEN
Todd is a proven leader who is responsible for the planning, sales and leasing of all new Beedie developments, land acquisitions, build-to-suit projects, strata development and other local projects, as well as advancing Beedie’s expansion into new markets. By the time he joined Beedie in 2008, Todd had accumulated over 15 years of experience in commercial real estate brokerage as Senior Vice President with a focus on industrial sales and leasing, during which time he worked closely with Beedie on build-to-suit projects and leasing. This made his 2013 transition to President, Industrial, relatively seamless. 

JON STOVELL
Jon Stovell has been in the real estate investment and development industry for over 25 years. He works in all areas including acquisitions, finance, civic approvals, construction and marketing. At Reliance, he has developed a broad base of expertise in portfolio management with an emphasis on urban renewal through restoration and renovation of heritage buildings, affordable housing, together with new strata and rental residential and specialty office and retail projects. The firm has earned awards for its work. In 2013 Reliance was named the most innovative company in BC by "BC Business Magazine" for its Burns Block Micro-Lofts. In 2014 Jon was named one of Vancouver Magazine's "Power 50" people. Jon also serves as the Chair for UDI.
