We are excited to announce that our January U40 Leadership Breakfast will be hosted by Mario Furlan, Senior Vice President and Regional General Manager, BC Region of Canadian Western Bank.
This is a free event, courtesy of Canadian Western Bank, and is open to UDI U40 Members only. There are only 12 spots available and guests will be chosen by lottery.

MARIO FURLAN
Mario Furlan joined Canadian Western Bank in 1996 upon the acquisition of Aetna Trust by CWB. Mario began his career in commercial real estate in Edmonton with Graeme Young and Associates, followed by 7 years in commercial real estate financing with the Cumberland Group in Vancouver. In 1990, he joined the Real Estate Lending team at Aetna Trust as part of the Vancouver Real Estate Group. Mario held increasing levels of responsibility, expanding the Group’s market focus, clientele and profile until his most recent appointment in 2013.
Currently, Mario is Senior Vice President and Regional General Manager, BC Region and responsible for all banking operations for the 15 branches throughout the BC Region representing over $7 Billion in assets and 300 employees. Mario is very well known in the Vancouver business community and in particular, Vancouver’s real estate development community, with client relationships going back over 25 years and including some of Vancouver’s largest projects.
Mario graduated from UBC with a Bachelor of Commerce, Urban Land Economics in 1981.
