NORM COUTTIE, Architect AIBC, B. Arch., MBA
Norm has been in the development industry for over 30 years. As a registered architect, he designed and managed projects rangng from high tech computer facilities, to an entire new town in Northern BC, to a killer whale pool at the Vancouver Aquarium. As a consultant, he advised public and private sector clients and managed major and sometimes controversial rezonings. As a developer, he completed projects ranging from office/commercial complexes, to affordable suburban townhomes, to ultra-luxury Coal Harbour high-rises.
Norm has chaired or served on many industry committees, design panels, municipal planning and public art commissions. He has lectured on project management and rezoning processes. Norm is a Past UDI Board Director and was an advisor to a mortgage investment corporation with assets of $100 million.
The UDI U40 Leadership Breakfast Series gives young professionals under the age of 40 a chance to begin the day with breakfast and lively conversation with a successful industry leader in a small group setting. Due to the popularity of these events, guests will be determined by lottery.
