Brian McCauley, Concert Properties Ltd.

Brian has been in the real estate development business for over twenty-five years. Since joining Concert in 1994, Brian has been involved with hands-on development management activities of Concert’s growing residential and income producing property portfolio. Brian is Past Chair and current board member of the Urban Development Institute Pacific Region. In 2002, Brian guided Concert’s expansion in Ontario leading the development of assured rental housing in Toronto in joint venture with OMERS.  Marking Concert’s 20th Anniversary, Brian was named President on June 1, 2009. Brian now oversees the operations of Concert’s real estate activities across Canada.

David Goodman, The Goodman Report 

Since 1983, David has specialized in the marketing and sale of over 500 apartment buildings. His apartment clients include local owners, offshore families and institutional investors. Additionally, he has sold a number of prominent multi-family development sites to Polygon Homes, Wall Financial, Intracorp, Mosaic Homes, Bosa Properties, Solterra Development, Cressey Development, BlueSky Properties and Mayfair Properties, as well as hotels and shopping centres including Middlegate Shopping Centre. From 1989 to 1993, David was a director of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (ICI Division), serving on its Education Committee and guest-lecturing on the art of marketing apartment buildings.

​Mukhtar Latif, MRICS, City of Vancouver

As Chief Housing Officer, Mukhtar is responsible for developing and implementing housing strategies and policies to enable more housing affordability within the City of Vancouver. Working with developers, not-for-profits, provincial and federal agencies to meet housing needs and help implement the recommendations of the Mayor's Task Force in providing an array of housing types. Mukhtar is also the Chief Executive of the newly formed Vancouver Affordable Housing Agency which has been tasked to develop 2,500 new affordable homes by 2021. 

Cyrus Navabi, Qualex-Landmark Group

Cyrus Navabi is Vice President Development with Qualex-Landmark Group, which develops residential and commercial real estate in British Columbia and Alberta. Qualex focuses primarily on high-rise, multi-family development and is currently constructing its sixth tower in Calgary. Cyrus is involved with all aspects of acquisitions, planning, and development management, and has overseen the development of Aria, a boutique residential rental development in the Oakridge neighbourhood of Vancouver, at Cambie and 41st. Prior to joining Qualex, Cyrus worked as a management consultant for The Boston Consulting Group in Dallas, Texas. He studied Management Science & Engineering at Stanford University.

​Hani Lammam, CRESSEY Development Group

As Vice President of Cressey Development Group, Hani is responsible for Cressey’s business development activities and early project conceptualization. Since joining Cressey in 2002, Hani has been responsible for the construction of over 3,000 residential units. Cressey’s development activities are primarily in the Metro Vancouver area plus projects in Whistler, Kelowna, Calgary, Fort McMurray and Seattle. Currently, Cressey has approximately 400 homes under construction and approximately 1,200 units in various stages of planning. In addition to its residential projects, Cressey is also involved in retail, office and industrial developments in various markets in the Pacific Northwest.
