ERIC BOND - Principal Market Analyst, CMHC
Eric Bond is CMHC’s Principal Market Analyst and spokesperson for Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Eric provides commentary on new home construction, resale, and rental market developments and their impacts on the housing market. He has five years of experience with CMHC in this role and holds a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of British Columbia.
SCOTT BROWN - CEO, Fifth Avenue Real Estate Marketing
As President & CEO of Fifth Avenue Real Estate Marketing Limited, (Fifth Avenue) Scott directly oversees the growth and success of the project marketing, sales, and operations teams responsible for delivering sales success and developer partner satisfaction. Throughout his 30 years of work experience, Scott has formed and led teams that have set sales records in North America and Asia. He has consistently provided high-quality strategic advisory services and expanded his marketing and sales strategy creation, culture development, and performance enhancement expertise.
BRYAN YU - Deputy Chief Economist, Central1 Credit Union
As Deputy Chief Economist, Bryan oversees the team’s provincial economic analysis, and author and editor of the flagship Economic Analysis reports, weekly research notes, and special reports. He speaks regularly at credit union and industry events and is frequently contacted by media to provide commentary on economic events and the housing market. Prior to Central 1, he was an economist with the B.C. Real Estate Association and Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
Bryan holds a Master’s degree In Economics from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Arts (honours) from the University of Manitoba. He currently serves on the boards of the B.C. Paraplegic Foundation and Canadian Association for Business Economics, and is past-president of the Association of Professional Economists of B.C.
MICHAEL VON HAUSEN - President, MVH Urban Planning and Design (moderator)
Adjunct Professor, Simon Fraser University, Michael heads an international consulting firm that specializes in land development strategies, community partnerships, urban design, and training mid-career professionals. Michael's firm has won 10 awards for planning, design and development of communities across western Canada over the past five years. He brings over 30 years of experience in land development planning, finance, and urban design, teaching and working across North America.
