Given the unprecedented events related to the COVID-19 global pandemic, this year’s Fraser Valley Outlook will be conducted by ZOOM. Join a diverse group of leading industry stakeholders in the Fraser Valley market as they share summaries of: the impact of the pandemic on sales, new development, land prices, developer and consumer financing; adaptations that have been required and will be required and their opinions on what to expect for the remainder of 2020 and through 2021. 
 
Marlene Best of Mitchell Group will moderate this diverse panel and share her thoughts and perspective on what’s next for the residential multifamily market in the Fraser Valley.

BIOS

Puneet Agrawal - Sr. AVP & Branch Manager, Canadian Western Bank 
Puneet Agrawal is a Sr. AVP & Branch Manager at Canadian Western Bank. Considered a veteran in the commercial real estate financing world, he played a crucial role in establishing the newly formed Greater Vancouver Real Estate Group for CWB in Surrey, BC.  
 
Puneet and his team are specialized real estate lenders and provide financing solutions by way of construction, land servicing and term financing for all asset classes throughout Western Canada. Their typical real estate projects range between $20 million to $200 million.  
 
Puneet’s banking career spans nearly 23 years. He held several sales and leadership roles in the field of commercial banking and real estate financing. After joining CWB in 2005 as a commercial banker, he quickly found that real estate was fast becoming his second love and since then, never looked back. 
 
Puneet immigrated from New Delhi (India) in 2001 where he was a territory manager with Citigroup. Prior to joining Citigroup India, he achieved his MBA specializing in finance from one of the top institutes in India. He enjoys travelling, watching movies & documentaries, listening to music but most importantly spending quality time with his family. 
 
Tim Bontkes – Founder and Owner, Infinity Properties Ltd.
Tim Bontkes is the founder and owner of Infinity Properties Ltd., a residential development company based in Langley BC.  Tim is a Professional Engineer graduating from UBC with a Civil Engineering degree and for the past 21 years has worked in the land development and construction industry.  Over this period, he has been responsible for the development of approximately 2,600 residential units and 75 acres of multi-family land primarily in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.   
  
Infinity currently has a number of projects under construction and actively selling and an additional 1,750 residential units under application.  Outside of the Fraser Valley Infinity also has active development projects in Squamish, Prince George, Osoyoos and Portland Oregon.  For more information on the Infinity team and projects go to

W. Scott Brown - President and CEO, Fifth Avenue Real Estate Marketing Limited (Fifth Avenue)
As President & CEO of Fifth Avenue Real Estate Marketing Limited (Fifth Avenue) W. Scott Brown (Scott) directly oversees the growth and success of the project marketing and sales and administrative teams responsible for delivering sustained sales success and developer partner /client satisfaction. Throughout his 30+ years of work experience Scott has formed and led teams that have set sales records throughout North America and Asia. He has consistently provided high quality strategic advisory services to leading global organizations and expanded his marketing and sales strategy creation, culture development and performance enhancement expertise.   
 
Scott is actively involved in the development and optimization of the Marketing and Sales Program for each project. He is also personally involved in ensuring that Fifth Avenue has the most professional and dedicated sales representation in the market by leveraging his vast high performance sales coaching knowledge and expertise. Scott is also a sought after media resource and speaker and radio personality with respect to the status of new multifamily home market in Metropolitan Vancouver. 
 
 
Previously, Scott served as a founding partner and Senior Vice President of Colliers International’s Residential Project Marketing Group. Prior to that Scott served as Chief Sales Officer at Kor Real Estate where he oversaw the startup and global expansion of Kor Real Estate’s project marketing firm. His work at Kor included extensive leadership of marketing and sales advisory assignments for projects lead out of or located in Dubai, UAE; Manila, Philippines; Anguilla; Playa del Carmen, Mexico; Miami, Florida, USA; Seychelles; Da Nang, Viet Nam and Bangkok, Thailand.  
 
 
Scott began his residential career working for Intrawest where he concluded by serving as Senior Vice President with Intrawest/Playground. He oversaw a billion-dollar-per annum portfolio of projects situated throughout North America and Asia. Scott was also directly responsible for leading strategic partnerships including Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and negotiated a significant joint venture with Colliers that expanded Playground’s business to Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
 
 
Mike Harrison- Development Land Sales, Frontline Real Estate
Mike Harrison is a licensed development land broker with Frontline Real Estate and, self-professed, a massive real estate nerd. He’s been involved in over a billion dollars of residential development land transactions, claiming Surrey’s largest land transaction for many of the past 5 years. Mike has focused exclusively on residential development land in the Valley, runs that business for Frontline, and has a blast doing it. 
 
Marlene Best, RPP, MBA - Senior Development Manager, Mitchell Group (moderator)
Ms. Best has over 40 years of experience in providing development management, strategic planning and personnel management to the private and public sectors of the BC and Alberta land development industries. 
 
In senior management Marlene has managed land development teams responsible for land acquisitions, project management, budgeting, feasibility analysis, government liaison and public processes, and master plan designMarlene has spent much of this time putting teams of professional together to bring hundreds of projects to successful completion. Marlene has managed several of the largest development in the Fraser Valley. She has been a director of several social service agencies over the past 30 years. In her spare time Marlene is either on her bike doing trails, practicing her golf or in her garden.
