Event Description:
With numerous major resource and infrastructure projects getting underway, BC is on the verge of an economic growth phase. What does this mean for the development industry?
Our panelists will speak to the connection between resources, infrastructure, and the real estate sectors. What are the potential economic impacts and implications for the construction labour market? What lessons can our sector learn from their challenges and successes in community and stakeholder engagement?
Kinder Morgan Canada is proposing a $5.4B expansion of its existing Trans Mountain pipeline, which runs 1,150 kilometres from Strathcona County (near Edmonton) to Burnaby, BC. Teck Resources Limited (Teck) is currently investing nearly $1 billion in British Columbia to sustain and expand its operations and employs over 7,500 people in the province. And with a burgeoning liquefied natural gas (LNG) sector expected to be a major economic driver in BC, the Pacific Oil & Gas Group is in the early stages of the Woodfibre LNG project, a proposed small-scale LNG processing and export facility located near Squamish, BC.
We hope you will join us for this interesting and informative session, moderated by Phil Gertsman of Altus Group.
