Join UDI president and CEO Anne McMullin as she sits down alongside David Podmore for a casual and honest conversation about his experience in the industry, his contributions to the community and what he envisions for Vancouver in the coming months and years. 
Hear first-hand from David how he navigated a successful company through multiple economic cycles and built award-winning master-plan communities. He will touch on the following life milestones and what they mean to him:
  • His journey to Edmonton and return to hometown Vancouver and his advice for young people in the industry 
  • How the pandemic has changed the types of homes we offer consumers and the hurdles the development industry is facing today 
  • How to build a successful company foundation and culture
  • The importance of community service

For over 40 years, David has been recognized as one of Vancouver's most influential contributors to the real estate industry. In 2017, he was awarded BC CEO of the Year for "Enterprise" category. 
 
David Podmore's immense contributions to the community include his involvement with the BC Children's Hospital Foundation as immediate past-chair, successfully bringing the Winter Olympics to Vancouver in 2010, and Concert Properties' sponsorship of bursaries to help students in the BCIT Trades Discovery programs. In 2018, David was inducted into the UDI Hall of Fame and into the Business Laureates of British Columbia Hall of Fame. He is currently Chair of BCIT's INSPIRE Campaign and also is a director on the British Columbia Ferry Services Inc. Board.
 
David Podmore is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, and the Order of British Columbia.
