It’s time to improve development processes for the communities we want. Too often public processes fail to actually deliver clear representation of community perspective; the onus of rezoning to achieve the Official Community Plan (OCP) objectives is put on developers; and processes can be adversarial and extortionary. We need progressive thinking and better processes to facilitate economic recovery and functional communities. Following the panel discussion, there will be an optional municipal / development problem-solving roundtable from 4:30 - 5:00 p.m.
