Event Description:
King George Hub is award-winning PCI Developments’ latest transit-oriented community with an innovative approach to how business, transit and community can vibrantly co-exist. King George Hub’s first phase Coast Capital Help Headquarters has become an iconic landmark. The community is taking shape with desirable grocery, service and food retail and high quality office space. This is a multi-phased transit-oriented community adjacent to the King George Skytrain Station and consists of:
Phase A: 200,000 sf Coast Capital Headquarters, with retail at grade.
Phase B: Over 800,000 sf of mixed use density including 738 condominiums in two towers, a 170,000 sf office building and nearly 100,000 sf of ground oriented retail space.
Phase C: 371 purpose built rental homes with ground floor retail.
Phase D: 886 sold out condominiums and 50,000 sf of commercial space, currently under construction.
Phase E: 40-storey market rental building that is advancing through the entitlement process.
Highlights of the tour will include discussion of the impact that evolving rapid transit planning had on the entitlement process, scheduling challenges related to the size and scale of the project and corresponding REDMA deadlines, as well as overcoming construction challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We will take a walk through the public high street, various residential and commercial amenities and finish on the rooftop patio of the new office building (HUB 9850) for networking and drinks.
