UDI is pleased to present special guests: City of Vancouver Councillor Raymond Louie\, City of Port Coquitlam Mayor Greg Moore\, City of Maple Ridge Mayor Nicole Read and District of North Vancouver Mayor Richard Walton. While these leaders have decades of experience in public service\, all four will not seek re-election this year.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for a candid conversation about civic issues and solutions. What are their advice to developers in better managing their projects' approval through Council? What are the expectations of elected officials in regards to community consultation and buy-in? Hear first-hand from our speakers about lessons learned and setbacks during their time in municipal politics\, and how the changing political landscape in our city will impact the real estate industry.\n\n \n\nThe panel will discuss topics from business and residential tax increases\, TransLink's governance and funding\, regional planning and Regional Growth Strategy\, to the proposed idea of revamping the public hearing process. Insights will be shared on the real estate industry's popular acronyms CAC\, DCC\, ALR\, DP and TOD and its impact on the housing market\, supply and affordability. \n\n \n\nUDI's President and CEO\, Anne McMullin will moderate the session and pose questions to the panel pertaining to the association's Key Policy Priorities for 2018 including rental housing stock\, the "missing middle" and supply-side measures.
