Join our modular housing expert panel on March 5th to understand how these volumetric suppliers are mitigating risks in their project deliveries and over coming capacity constraints. Prefabrication is not new to North America and many contractors use some form of offsite construction within their projects today. The panel will also address other key topics such as:  
  • Modularization and Prefabrication Forms - Ranging from complete buildings like hotels down to bathroom pods and plumbing assemblies.
  • Project Efficiency - When utilized correctly off site construction not only can reduce labor costs and the project schedules but also decrease waste, increase site safety and can reduce onsite congestion.

Paul Binotto, Co-Founder and President - My Lane Home Inc
Paul Binotto is Co-Founder and President of My Lane Home Inc., an organization focus on infill building with an emphasis on functional design and affordability. Paul has worked with various cities and planning professionals throughout the Lower Mainland to help further develop their infill programs, create industries partnerships, and establish modular best practices. My Lane Home is proud to help families and seniors with multigenerational and age-in-place affordable housing options.
My Lane Home installed one of the first complete factory-built Modular Lane Homes in Vancouver and is a leading force in building the first social housing Lane Homes in the Province.  My Lane Home is a member of the Manufactured Housing Association of British Columbia and the Vancouver Home Builders Association. 
 
 
Joe Kiss, President - Modular Solutions ? Horizon North 
As President, Modular Solutions, Joe is focused on managing executive relationships with our key strategic client accounts within the modular construction industry. He also drives Horizon North business into new geographic locations and vertical markets, while developing strategic relationships with governmental and regulatory decision makers. With over 20 years of senior management experience, Joe has occupied previous roles as Vice President and General Manager of Cementec Industries Inc., Chief Operating Officer of Genalta Power Inc., and most recently, President of Ladacor Advanced Modular Systems. Joe has his Master's degree in Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Calgary. As well, he is an APEGA Licensed Professional Engineer with extensive executive experience in modular product development, project management, operations, business development, and corporate management.
 
Kevin Read, President and CEO - Nomodic
Prior to founding Nomodic in 2012, Kevin spent years working in product design, quality assurance, process automation, corporate strategy, and business development in the construction and energy industries.
 
With an education including a Bachelor?s Degree in Business & Entrepreneurship, Kevin worked as Vice President of Operations at a Western Canada-based distributor of process control equipment prior to starting out on his own.
 
Since launching Nomodic, Kevin has grown to reach accolades such as being named one of Canada?s Top 40 under 40 (2018) and one of Calgary?s Top 40 Under 40 (2017). Kevin was also selected as a finalist in 2016 for EY?s Entrepreneur of the Year award, serves currently on the Dean's Advisory Council for the Faculty of Business & Communication at Mount Royal University, and was voted in as the Modular Building Institute's Vice Chair of the Canadian Council for 2019.
 
Madiha Fahim, Energy Solutions Manager - FortisBC
Madiha Fahim is an Energy Solutions Manager with FortisBC and has a great passion for emerging technologies. She has a background in environment and sustainability and is currently involved with residential construction projects across lower mainland.
