Name: UDI U40 Lunch - Understanding Neighbourhood Engagement: The Industry Perspective
Date: February 28, 2014
Time: 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM PST
Registration: Sorry, public registration for this event has been closed.
Event Description:

Following on the success of our November lunch, we’re pleased to present the second in a series of discussions around the topic of Understanding Neighbourhood Engagement.

This time, we’ll address the topic from the Industry Perspective, tackling the issues and suggestions raised by community advocates during our previous panel discussion and continuing the investigation into ways of improving the process for all involved.

On February 28, join us as we turn the spotlight on ourselves and continue the discussion around public consultation. How do developers and consultants navigate the often emotional and unstable world of neighbourhood engagement? How can we engage more residents (the "silent majority") earlier in the process?  What are some strategies that have worked? How can things be improved?

Join us as Bob Ransford returns by popular demand to moderate a panel discussion with key voices from our own industry.

Panelists:
- Virginia Bird, Partner, Pottinger Bird Community Relations
- Deana Grinnell, Director, Land Development, Wesgroup
- Beau Jarvis, Senior VP Development, Wesgroup
- Marc Josephson, Senior Development Manager, Grosvenor
