Event Description:
The Edible Garden Project [https://ediblegardenproject.com/] was sparked after a Vancouver Coastal Health scan of “food security” activities on the North Shore identified a gap in access to fresh local produce.
A group of people passionate about the potential for improving access to local food came together to create the Edible Garden Project, bringing local fruits and vegetables to the plates of low-income individuals and families.
Join the Women of UDI for an afternoon at the Loutet Farm and learn about growing food while contributing to a great cause!
Because Loutet is a working farm, activities could include: • Weeding • Preparing vegetable beds for planting • Moving compost or woodchips • Raking
• Invasive species removal
$35 +tax – UDI Members Only *25 spots available, limit to 2 reps per company due to limited capacity.
NO REFUNDS but substitutions are allowed.
The Women of UDI have a community partnership initiative which seeks to support charities, NPOs and people in need in our community. Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Edible Garden Project.
Thank you for supporting!
